BREAKING NEWS?

SEND US YOUR NEWS!

We're always happy to have your news items and photos to share with all of PA Job's Daughters. We know you're all doing exciting stuff out there. So tell us about it, and send us pictures! We'll make sure all of PA Job's Daughters and the entire world-wide-web audience knows all about you and how great your Bethel is!

Here's what to do:

1. Assign a member or advisor to be your "correspondent" --that way; you always know who is responsible to report your news to PA Job's Daughters.

2. Make sure somebody takes pictures at your event. Action photos, candid, and "mugs" are preferred to pose shots, but it never hurts to have a group picture or two, as well.

Please note: Web stories without pictures are BORING --to be honest, we usually won't publish them, unless they're really good stuff ... so SEND PICS!

3. E-mail your story to the Webmaster. If you're not comfortable with your journalistic skills, you can just send a list of the facts of the story, and we'll write it for you. If you send us a "publication ready" article, we'll credit you as the author on the site.

4. Watch for your story here on paiojd.org. If your story doesn't appear in 5 or 6 days, something is wrong. Most likely, it's one of the following:

Trouble-shooting tips...

  • Your story never arrived. E-mail to confirm, and then send it again.
  • The Webmaster is swamped. E-mail to confirm, and be patient.
  • The Webmaster's wife has him doing the housework…again.
  • The Webmaster is cleaning the garage…yeah right, have you seen his garage?

So what are you waiting for?

Send us those stories!

No, we mean it.

What, are you still here?

Go, send news!

Really!

Do it now!

Web Picture Tips...

If you able to send us digital pictures, so much the better. If not, you can snail mail prints to us, with a return envelope. We'll scan them and mail them back. Mail them to: PA Job's Daughters: 29 Greenmont Drive, Enola, PA 17025.

Use higher resolution pictures wherever possible. 200 or 300 dpi are best. DON'T CROP the photos... let us do the resizing, cropping, and quality adjustments.

If you are e-mailing pictures, please "zip" them into sets of 4 or 5, using WinZip or a similar utility. Attach each zip file to a separate e-mail, note how many e-mails and how many pictures in each zip you are sending.

Don't send us anything you don't want us to use. If you send an embarrassing picture of Jennifer, and Jennifer gets mad at us, we're just gonna send her back to beat YOU up. It's not our problem.
